Regular Season Round 18: HS Lab - Viterbo 49-55

Bottom-ranked HS Lab (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Viterbo (4-12) 55-49 on Saturday evening. Viterbo held HS Lab to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Viterbo forced 21 HS Lab turnovers. Strangely HS Lab outrebounded Viterbo 47-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Adriana Cutrupi (186-96) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (187-84) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sara Ronchi (180-3) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anna Rescifina (182-3) added 16 points and 5 steals respectively. HS Lab's coach Giovanni Lucchesi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Viterbo maintains thirteenth position in A2 with 4-12 record. HS Lab at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Viterbo will meet higher ranked Irpino (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. HS Lab will play against Cagliari CUS (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
