Regular Season Round 19: Pardinyes-L. - L'Hospitalet 90-83

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Pardinyes-L. (8-11) won against 5th ranked L'Hospitalet (10-9) in Lleida 90-83 on Saturday. Pardinyes-L. shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Wendell Davis (198-95, college: Ashland, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Adria Duch (185-95) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Power forward Ivan Garcia (206-86) answered with 24 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Grant Lozoya (190-95, college: Pittsburg St., agency: Duran International) added 15 points in the effort for L'Hospitalet. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Pardinyes-L. maintains eighth place in Silver with 8-11 record. Loser L'Hospitalet keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Pardinyes-L. will face league's second-placed Girona Basquet at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. L'Hospitalet will play against Albacete and hope to win that game.
