Regular Season Round 35: Koshigaya A. - Aomori W. 78-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tokyo where 4th placed Aomori W. (15-19) was defeated by fifth ranked Koshigaya A. (12-23) 78-72 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. American center Andrew Naymick (209-85, college: Michigan St.) helped adding 5 points, 22 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and South Sudanese-American forward Angelo Chol (206-93, college: San Diego St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Koshigaya A.. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. maintains fifth place with 12-23 record. Loser Aomori W. keeps the fourth position with 19 games lost. Koshigaya A. will face again higher ranked Aomori W. (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
