Regular Season Round 35: Sendai 89ers - Fukushima 89-80

B2 League top team - Sendai 89ers (25-10) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Fukushima (10-23) 89-80. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sendai 89ers maintains first place with 25-10 record. Fukushima lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 23 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face again Fukushima (#5) at home in the next round.
