Regular Season Round 15: Arka Gdynia - AZS Uniw.Gd. 93-83

EBLK top team - Arka Gdynia (14-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat twelfth ranked AZS Uniw.Gd. (0-15) 93-83. Arka Gdynia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Australian guard Rebecca Allen (188-92, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Slovakian guard Barbora Balintova (178-94) helped adding 12 points and 11 assists. Five Arka Gdynia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (178-91, college: UNC) with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Russian center Anna Pachurina (195-95) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. AZS Uniw.Gd.'s coach Miroslaw Orczyk rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arka Gdynia have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Newly promoted AZS Uniw.Gd. still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Arka Gdynia are looking forward to face Widzew (#9) in Lodz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Uniw.Gd. will play at home against AZS UMCS and hopes to get finally their first victory.
