Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Widzew and 11th ranked Enea AZS P. had identical 3-11 record. But Enea AZS P. was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Lodz 78-69 on Saturday night. Widzew made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Enea AZS P. turnovers. Strangely Enea AZS P. outrebounded Widzew 41-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American-American Samoan guard Jazmine Davis (170-93, college: Washington) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 steals. American guard Taylor Emery (178-97, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 17 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was American guard Zakiya Saunders (175-95, college: UCF) with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and international Aleksandra Pawlak (189-84, agency: Promotex) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Widzew. They moved-up to ninth place. Enea AZS P. lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Widzew will face league's leader Arka Gdynia at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enea AZS P. will play against the league's second-placed Artego Bydg. (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
