Regular Season Round 12: Mondeville - La Tronche 87-70

Rather expected game when 8th ranked La Tronche (5-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Mondeville (7-5) 87-70. Mondeville players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by La Tronche helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Canadian swingman Kimberley Gaucher-Smith (183-84, college: Utah, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who led her team to a victory with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Turkish Cansu Koksal (185-94) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Camille Cirgue (184-96) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Raytea Long (183-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Areus Sports) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for La Tronche. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mondeville have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 7-5 record. Newly promoted La Tronche keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Mondeville's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked CFBB (#12) in Paris and are hoping to win another game. La Tronche will play at home against Angers (#4) and hope to win that game.
