Rather expected game in Las Palmas where 5th ranked Barca CBS (9-6) was defeated by second ranked Gran Canaria (12-3) 80-68 on Saturday. Gran Canaria dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Barca CBS's 32. They outrebounded Barca CBS 50-21 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Kai James (196-95, college: FSU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds.
