There was no surprise when 14th ranked Orzinuovi (5-15) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Urania Milano (10-10) 92-82 on Saturday. Urania Milano outrebounded Orzinuovi 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Urania Milano looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Orzinuovi's players. The best player for the winners was American Nikolas Raivio (193-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Power forward Andrea Benevelli (202-85) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Urania Milano's coach Davide Villa used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (206-95, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar, agency: Inception Sports) added 27 points respectively for the guests. Five Urania Milano and four Orzinuovi players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Urania Milano maintains eighth position in A2 with 10-10 record. Orzinuovi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Urania Milano will face league's leader Basket RAV in Ravenna in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Orzinuovi will play at home against Roseto Sharks (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
