Regular Season Round 12: Chartres - SIG 62-64

Important game to mention about took place in Chartres. Seventh ranked SIG (6-6) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Chartres (6-6) 64-62 in the fight for the sixth place. SIG forced 24 Chartres turnovers. Strangely Chartres outrebounded SIG 37-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by point guard Marine Debaut (168-94) who scored that evening 21 points and power forward Amelie Voynet (181-94) supported her with 14 points. Even 19 points by guard Joelly Belleka (163-95) did not help to save the game for Chartres. Forward Emily Prugnieres (184-97) added 8 points and 8 rebounds. SIG moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Chartres. SIG will play against Reze (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Chartres will play against Montbrison (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
