There was no surprise when 9th ranked Albino (7-10) was defeated on the road by second ranked Team Crema (13-3) 64-59 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Albino was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 17 points, 6 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Paola Caccialanza (172-89) chipped in 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Alice Mandelli (172-93) scored 14 points. Despite that victory Team Crema went down to third position (A2) due to points difference. Loser Albino keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Team Crema will face Carugate (#4) in Corugate in the next round. Albino will play at home against Scrivia (#6) and hope to win that game.
