Regular Season Round 14: PAOK - Chania 72-73

The most exciting game of round 14 in the A1 took place in Thessaloniki. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked PAOK (6-8) to fourth ranked Chania (10-4) 73-72 on Sunday evening. Guard Eleutheria Prasianaki (-1) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Stavriani Vintsilaiou (181-98) chipped in 12 points during the contest. The former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-85) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Faih Kotoula (175-94) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Chania and four PAOK players scored in double figures. Chania moved-up to second place, which they share with Panathinaikos and Eleutheria M. PAOK lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Niki Lefkadas. Chania is looking forward to face league's leader Olympiacos in Pireus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PAOK will play on the road against Sporting (#5) in Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
