Regular Season Round 19: Girona Basquet - Real Murcia 61-70

Another interesting game for Real Murcia (15-4) which played on the court of Girona Basquet (14-5). First ranked Real Murcia won 70-61. It was a key game for the top position in Silver. It was a great evening for British guard Patrick Whelan (196-96, college: William Jewell, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Antonio Hester (198-90, college: Mobile, AL) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Albert Sabat (181-85) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Murcia maintains first place in Silver with 15-4 record. Girona Basquet at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Real Murcia will play against CB Prat (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Girona Basquet will play against Pardinyes-L. in Lleida and hopes to get back on the winning track.
