An interesting game took place in Athens where 7th ranked Niki Lefkadas (6-8) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Dafni Agioy (5-9) 75-56 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Niki Lefkadas. Dafni Agioy dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Niki Lefkadas' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Five Dafni Agioy players scored in double figures. Naturalized Australian point guard Vanessa Panousis (170-95, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Rangie Bessard (185-96, college: Wichita St.) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Dafni Agioy moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Esperides. Loser Niki Lefkadas dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Dafni Agioy will face Esperides (#9) in Glyfada in the next round.
