Regular Season Round 19: Quilicura - CDU Catolica 73-75

Sixth-ranked Quilicura (3-21) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Universidad Catolica (13-14). The visitors from Santiago managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected easier game. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard DJ Ursery (193, college: Alaska-Anch.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. Scott Cutley (196-85, college: CS Fullerton) helped adding 20 points and 10 rebounds. Cutley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side forward Timothy Simmons (195-92, college: DBU, agency: Prestige Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Abiodun Adegoke (203-91, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Universidad Catolica maintains third place with 13-14 record having three points less than leader Puente Alto. Quilicura lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 21 games lost. Universidad Catolica will play against league's second-placed Puerto Montt at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quilicura will play against Temuco (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
