Regular Season Round 18: Benedetto CE - Faenza 76-55

There was no surprise in Cento where 9th ranked Faenza (8-10) was crushed by first ranked Benedetto CE (15-3) 76-55 on Sunday. Faenza was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Nicolas Morici (192-94, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Benedetto CE players scored in double figures. Benedetto CE's coach Matteo Mecacci felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marco Petrucci (193-92) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Edoardo Tiberti (205-97) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Benedetto CE maintains first position in B with 15-3 record. Loser Faenza dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Benedetto CE will face Porto S.Elpidio (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Faenza will play against Chieti (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
