Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pacers (30-17) against fourth ranked Trail Blazers (20-27) on Sunday night. Visiting Pacers were defeated by Trail Blazers in Portland 139-129. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pacers. Trail Blazers made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Pacers 43-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Trail Blazers shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Trail Blazers made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for point guard Damian Lillard (190-90, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Center Hassan Whiteside (213-89, college: Marshall) helped adding 21 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) responded with a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists and Jeremy Lamb (196-92, college: UConn) scored 28 points. Four Trail Blazers and five Pacers players scored in double figures. Pacers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trail Blazers maintains fourth place with 20-27 record. Loser Pacers keep the second position with 17 games lost. They share it with Philadelphia 76.
