Regular Season Round 11: Sudbury F. - Windsor Exp. 111-104

An interesting game for Sudbury F. (6-4) which hosted in Greater Sudbury second-ranked Windsor Express (5-4). Third ranked Sudbury F. managed to get a 7-point victory 111-104. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Windsor Express. Sudbury F. made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Windsor Express 48-33 including 40 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jaylen Bland (190-93, college: UC Riverside) who led the winners and scored 43 points (!!!). His fellow American import point guard Braylon Rayson (175-94, college: Cent Michigan) accounted for 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Shaquille Keith (196-93, college: Cape Breton) came up with 27 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Chris Jones (182-91, college: Louisville, agency: Haylett Sports) added 22 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Windsor Express in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Windsor Express' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sudbury F.. They moved-up to second place which they share with defeated Windsor Express. Loser Windsor Express keep the second position with four games lost. They share it with St.John's E.. Sudbury F. will meet Titans (#4) in the next round. Windsor Express will play against the league's leader London Lightning and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
