No shocking result in a game in Vizcaya where third ranked Real Canoe (11-4) smashed 11th ranked Barakaldo (4-11) 92-72 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Laura Prats (174-99) who scored 18 points. Swingman Macarena Roldan-Garcia (176-94) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Patricia Soler (186-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Adedayo Olabode (185-96, college: Texas Tech) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Real Canoe. They maintain third place in Group A with 11-4 record behind leader Sant Adria, which they share with Ferrol and Alcobendas. Barakaldo lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Real Canoe will face league's second-placed GDKO Bizkaia in Galdakao in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Barakaldo will play on the road against Cortegada (#10) in Vilagarcia Arousa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
