Regular Season Round 11: Salaspils - ASKA 39-62

The most interesting game of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. Twentieth ranked ASKA outleveled host Salaspils (1-10) 62-39. The game was mostly controlled by ASKA. Salaspils managed to win fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Salaspils to just 4 points in third quarter. ASKA forced 20 Salaspils turnovers. Kristupas Songaila orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points. Matas Serlinskas contributed with 8 points for the winners. Ritvars Vaivods answered with 6 points and Martins Konosonoks added 8 points in the effort for Salaspils. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASKA (2-2) moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with East Ball. Salaspils lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the twenty fourth position with ten games lost.
