Regular Season Round 19: Puente Alto - Los Leones 76-73

Fifth-ranked Los Leones (12-15) were very close to win a game against first ranked Puente Alto (19-7) on Sunday. Puente Alto managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Puente Alto outrebounded Los Leones 40-28 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Corbin Jackson (198-92, college: Florida Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. American-Nigerien swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-94, college: UCF) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Reggie Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Evandro Arteaga (178-83) added 20 points in the effort for Los Leones. Puente Alto have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-7 record. Los Leones at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 15 games lost. Puente Alto are looking forward to face league's second-placed Universidad de Concepcion at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Los Leones will play against the league's leader Las Animas and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
