Regular Season Round 15: FoKoPo - MuKi 86-85

There was a minor upset in Forssa where 10th ranked MuKi (4-8) was edged by twelfth ranked FoKoPo (3-12) 86-85 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 44-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. FoKoPo looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Isaac Williams (195-94, college: MVSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Jarett Croff (208, college: AUM, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 21 points and 14 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. FoKoPo's coach Petteri Molenius used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Markus Rautasalo (180-0) with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Emil Uotila (198-0) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. FoKoPo maintains twelfth place in Division with 3-12 record. Loser MuKi keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. FoKoPo will face higher ranked Korikouvot (#4) in Kouvola in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
