Very important is a road loss of second ranked Novipiu Casale (13-7) against seventh ranked Derthona TRT (11-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Novipiu Casale was defeated by Derthona TRT in a tough game in Tortona 70-74. Derthona TRT outrebounded Novipiu Casale 49-28 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and Turkish guard Jamarr Sanders (193-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) did not help to save the game for Novipiu Casale. His fellow American import guard Chris Roberts (193-88, college: Bradley) added 16 points for the guests. Four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. Derthona TRT moved-up to fifth place in A2. Novipiu Casale at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Derthona TRT's next round opponent will be Orlandina CdO (#13) in Capo d'Orlando and are hoping to win another game. Novipiu Casale will play at home against 2B Control TR (#6) and hope to win that game.
