Regular Season Round 19: Temuco - CD Castro 69-82

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked CD Castro (12-13) beat on the road 4th placed Temuco (11-15) 82-69 on Sunday. CD Castro dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Temuco's 32. Quite impressive performance for American forward Cedric Blossom (198-94, college: Morgan St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Wesley Person (190-95, college: Troy) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Alssene Saintilus (201-93, college: Bloomsburg) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and South African forward Pieter Prinsloo (208-92, college: Marist, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 26 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Temuco. The victory was the third consecutive win for CD Castro. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with CD Puerto Varas. Loser Temuco dropped to the fifth position with 15 games lost. CD Castro will face CD Puerto Varas (#4) on the road in the next round. Temuco will play against Quilicura and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
