Quite upsetting was Galati's (#3) 21-point home defeat in a game versus Pitesti who smashed hosts The game without a history. Pitesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton) fired 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Pitesti players scored in double figures. American swingman Chris Porter-Bunton (196-95, college: Austin Peay) produced 16 points and 6 assists and Serbian swingman Mihajlo Bogdanovic (197-96) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pitesti will meet at home Voluntari in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Galati will play against Craiova and hope to win that game.
