Regular Season Round 17: Nahariya - Beer Sheva 87-74

Date: January 27, 2020
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Ironi Nahariya (7-10) defeated at home 8th ranked Beer Sheva (6-10) 87-74. 24 personal fouls committed by Beer Sheva helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a very good performance for point guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 assists. Tony Gaffney (206-84, college: UMass, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Ironi Nahariya players scored in double figures. Ironi Nahariya's coach Danny Franco used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward DaSean Butler (201-88, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and center Steve Zack (210-92, college: La Salle) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Beer Sheva. Ironi Nahariya moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Galil Gilboa. Beer Sheva at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Ironi Nahariya's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) in Nes Ziyona and it may be quite challenging game. Beer Sheva will play on the road against Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to win that game.
