An interesting game for Maccabi Ramat Gan (13-2) which hosted in Ramat Hen 4th placed Ashdod (9-6). First ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan managed to get a 4-point victory 71-67. It was a good game for American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: FSU, agency: Ron Sport) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. American forward Crystal Bradford (183-93, college: Cent Michigan) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St., agency: Ron Sport) added 10 points, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Ashdod. Maccabi Ramat Gan have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. Ashdod at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Maccabi Ramat Gan are looking forward to face Raanana (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ashdod will play against Petah Tikva (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
