Regular Season Round 98: Sacramento K. - OKC Thunder 100-120
Date: January 29, 2020
An interesting game for Thunder (29-20) which played road game in Sacramento against one of their biggest challengers Kings (17-30). Third ranked Thunder had an easy win 120-100. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kings. Thunder made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. German-Gambian point guard Dennis Schroeder (181-93) notched 24 points and 9 assists to lead the effort and Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by Serbian swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-92) did not help to save the game for Kings. Guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) added 19 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunder maintains third position with 29-20 record having just two point less than leader Toronto R. Loser Kings keep the fourth place with 30 games lost. Thunder will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kings will play against the league's second-placed Clippers (#2) in Los Angeles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
