Regular Season Round 19: Mogi - Franca 83-82

The most exciting game of round 19 in the NBB took place in Mogi das Cruzes. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Vivo/Franca (13-5) to fourth ranked Mogi (13-5) 83-82 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vivo/Franca. Mogi made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Fulvio de-Assis (188-81) contributed with 9 points and 11 assists for the winners. Uruguayan point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94) answered with 20 points and 6 assists and American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Vivo/Franca. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mogi moved-up to second place, which they share with Franca. Mogi is looking forward to face UniFacisa (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vivo/Franca's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Pinheiros.
