Regular Season Round 19: San Miniato - USE Basket 76-73

Sixth-ranked USE Basket (12-7) gave a tough game to second ranked San Miniato (16-3) on Wednesday. San Miniato managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Forward Luca Tozzi (200-99) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. San Miniato's coach Federico Barsotti used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and point guard Filippo Giannini (184-91) scored 15 points. San Miniato maintains second place in B with 16-3 record having just one point less than leader Benedetto CE. USE Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. San Miniato are looking forward to face Piombino (#5) on the road in the next round. USE Basket will play against Firenze and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
