Regular Season Round 19: Kalev/Cramo - Tartu Ulikool 87-62
Date: January 29, 2020
There was no surprise when 9th ranked Tartu Ulikool (6-12) was outleveled by third ranked Kalev/Cramo (19-3) in Tallinn 87-62 on Wednesday. Kalev/Cramo looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tartu Ulikool's players. Quite impressive performance for British-American forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (209-98, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian guard Aigars Skele (192-92) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. The former international Kregor Hermet (205-97) answered with 15 points and Robert Valge (194-97) added 14 points in the effort for Tartu Ulikool. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Kalev/Cramo. They maintain third place with 19-3 record having just two point less than leader VEF Riga. Tartu Ulikool lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Kalev/Cramo will face Rapla (#5) at home in the next round. Tartu Ulikool will play against TLU/Kalev (#13) and hope to win that game.
