Argentina
Regular Season Round 15: Argentino - San Lorenzo 71-97
Date: January 29, 2020
Very predictable result in Junin where second ranked San Lorenzo (11-3) outscored 11th ranked Argentino (8-10) 97-71. San Lorenzo shot 64.9 percent from the field. San Lorenzo had a 34-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. San Lorenzo players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-88) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 assists. The former international Marcos Mata (200-86) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American Jonathan Slider (192-87) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Argentino in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for San Lorenzo. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Argentino at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with ten games lost. San Lorenzo's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Libertad Sunchales (#20) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Argentino will play against Olimpico de La Banda (#17) and hope to win that game.
