Regular Season Round 19: Bankeryds - Hogsbo 80-85

Very expected game when 10th ranked Bankeryds (1-14) were defeated at home by third ranked Hogsbo (13-4) 85-80. It looked good early as Bankeryds took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hogsbo had a 25-21 second period charge getting the lead and Bankeryds were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-85. Hogsbo players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Filip Sjostrom (200-90) who helped to win the game recording 29 points (made all of his eight free throws). Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Eddie Alm (187-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Wictor Grenthe (203-87) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bankeryds. Hogsbo maintains third place with 13-4 record having seven points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Bankeryds lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Hogsbo's next round opponent will be Team4Q (#7) in Helsingborg. Bankeryds will play on the road against AIK Basket in Solna and hope to win that game.
