Regular Season Round 19: Matera - Nardo 64-51

Date: January 29, 2020
Very predictable result when second ranked Matera (16-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Nardo (11-8) 64-51 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Pasquale Battaglia (188-93) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side guard Federico Burini (191-93) responded with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Alessandro Azzaro (202-93) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. Matera maintains second place in B with 16-5 record having just one point less than leader Benedetto CE. Loser Nardo dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Matera will face Cassino (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nardo will play against Roma SAzzurra (#12) and hope to win that game.
