Regular Season Round 19: Palestrina - Cassino 77-60

Everything went according to plan in Roma where first ranked Palestrina (18-2) beat 15th ranked Cassino (3-16) 77-60 on Wednesday. Cassino was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Mattia Mastroianni (203-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) helped adding 14 points and 8 assists. Palestrina's coach Francesco Ponticiello allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) scored 12 points (made all of his eight free throws). Palestrina maintains first place in B with 18-2 record, which they share with Bernareggio. Loser Cassino keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Palestrina will face Scauri (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cassino will play against the league's second-placed Matera and hope to win that game.
