We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Chieti (11-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Faenza (9-11) 73-68 on Wednesday. Faenza looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for center Edoardo Tiberti (205-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Giovanni Bruni (185-82, agency: Players Group) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. At the losing side power forward Riziero Ponziani (205-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 16 points. Faenza maintains ninth place in B with 9-11 record, which they share with Mestre and Juvi Cremona. Loser Chieti dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Faenza will face Ancona (#13) on the road in the next round.
