Regular Season Round 15: Wolverines - High Flyers 86-78

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Wolverines (#3) and High Flyers (#2). Wolverines (6-7) won against visiting High Flyers (8-3) 86-78. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of High Flyers. Wolverines forced 22 High Flyers turnovers. 29 personal fouls committed by High Flyers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Tomeko Moxey helped adding 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Wolverines players scored in double figures. Wolverines' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Jeremy Neely with 27 points and Rashad Ingraham scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Wolverines have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Wolverines maintains third place with 6-7 record having three points less than leader Rockets. High Flyers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the second position with three games lost. Wolverines' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Abaco Strong.
