Regular Season Round 19: Parnu - TLU/Kalev 93-89

Very expected game when 12th ranked TLU/Kalev (5-15) lost on the road to eighth ranked Parnu (10-12) 93-89 on Thursday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Parnu looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for point guard Siim-Markus Post (184-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 15 assists. Latvian center Lauris Blaus (206-90) contributed with 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Parnu's coach Heiko Rannula used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American center Michael Buchanan (212-94, college: USC Upstate) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Karl-Johan Lips (199-96) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TLU/Kalev. Five Parnu and four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures. Parnu maintains eighth place with 10-12 record. TLU/Kalev lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Parnu will face league's leader VEF Riga at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TLU/Kalev will play against Tartu Ulikool (#9) and hope to win that game.
