Regular Season Round 12: KW Titans - London L. 113-110

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked London Lightning (10-3) in Kitchener on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Titans (4-10) 113-110. They made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Titans forced 20 London Lightning turnovers. 31 personal fouls committed by London Lightning helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Akeem Ellis (198-90, college: Coppin St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Damon Lynn (180-95, college: NJIT) who added 26 points, 8 assists and 5 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St., agency: Interperformances) with 37 points (!!!) and 7 assists and Terry Thomas (193-91, college: Ottawa) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. London Lightning's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Titans maintains fourth position with 4-10 record. London Lightning at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Titans are again looking forward to face league's leader London Lightning on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. London Lightning will have a break next round.
