Very important is a home loss of second ranked Clippers (33-14) against fourth ranked Kings (18-30) on Thursday night. Host Clippers were crushed by Kings in Los Angeles 124-103. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Clippers. Kings shot the lights out from three sinking 21 long-distance shots on high 51.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) who scored 34 points (!!!), 8 assists and 4 steals. Bahamas guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Montrezl Harrell (203-94, college: Louisville) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and Louis Williams (185-86) added 22 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Five Kings and four Clippers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings maintains fourth place with 18-30 record, which they share with N.Orleans P. Loser Clippers keep the second position with 14 games lost.
