Regular Season Round 20: Kerman - Gorgan 61-85

Superleague top team - Gorgan (20-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Kerman (5-16) 85-61. Gorgan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and international Behnam Yakhchali (196-95) who added 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Mohsen Tavana (183-88) responded with 14 points and center Mehdi Jafari (204-96) scored 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorgan have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Newly promoted Kerman keeps the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Gorgan will play against Toufarghan (#10) in Azarshahr in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kerman will play on the road against Shahrdari BA in Abbass and hopes to get back on the winning track.
