Regular Season Round 13: CFBB - Mondeville 55-71

There was no surprise in Paris where 12th ranked CFBB (1-12) was defeated by fifth ranked Mondeville (8-5) 71-55 on Thursday. Mondeville forced 20 CFBB turnovers. Forward Shelby Saint-Juste (186-98) stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova (193-93, college: Dayton) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mondeville players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serena Kessler (181-2) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Emilie Raynaud (183-2) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mondeville. They maintain fifth place with 8-5 record. CFBB lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Mondeville will meet at home higher ranked Toulouse (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against Angers (#4) and hope to win that game.
