Regular Season Round 15: Montana - Partizan 90-67

WABA top team - Bulgarian Montana 2003 (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Serbian Partizan (4-11) 90-67. The game was mostly controlled by Montana 2003. Partizan was better in fourth quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Partizan 44-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Montana 2003 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Partizan's players. It was a great evening for Bosnian-Croatian guard Matea Tavic (178-92) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Montana 2003 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Milica Mitrovic (175-93, college: Maine) with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Bosnian forward Gorana Marjanovic (188-0) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Montana 2003 have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending Bulgarian champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Partizan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Banovici. Montana 2003 will play against Beroe (#4) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Partizan will play at home against Celje and hopes to get back on the winning track.
