Regular Season Round 15: Hogsbo - Visby 87-64

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hogsbo as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hogsbo smashed 11th ranked Visby Ladies in Goteborg 87-64. The game was mostly controlled by Hogsbo. Visby Ladies managed to win fourth quarter 28-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hogsbo looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Aliyah El-Huland (185-95, college: Virginia) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian forward Ieva Ivaskeviciute (180-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Hogsbo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Alexa Middleton (175-95, college: Iowa St.) who recorded 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Julie Spencer (186-96, college: Portland) added 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Visby Ladies' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hogsbo (12-2) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Visby Ladies at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Visby Ladies will play next round against Wetterbygden trying to get back on the winning streak. Hogsbo will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Uppsala on the road.
