Regular Season Round 16: Stjarnan - Njardvik 89-84

Dominos League top team - Stjarnan (14-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Njardvik (9-7) 89-84. Njardvik was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 33-16 third quarter run of Stjarnan. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, college: Newberry, agency: Duran International) who added 13 points and 8 assists during the contest. Stjarnan's coach Arnar Gudjonsson allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Chaz Williams (175-91, college: UMass, agency: Green Sports Management) responded with 20 points and 9 assists and Lithuanian center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, college: SHSU, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Stjarnan and four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Stjarnan have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Njardvik at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Stjarnan will play against Grindavik (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Njardvik will play against Valur and hopes to get back on the winning track.
