No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Cholet Basket (13-8) beat on the road bottom-ranked Le Portel (3-18) 78-71 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Cholet Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Greek power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. American guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Benoit Mangin (188-88) added 8 points and 7 assists in the effort for Le Portel. Cholet Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bourg. Le Portel lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Cholet Basket will face Entente Orleans 45 (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Le Portel will play against Le Mans (#8) and hope to win that game.
