Regular Season Round 13: Reims - Aulnoye 68-70

The biggest surprise of round 13 in LF2 took place in Reims where guest Aulnoye (#1) barely escaped a defeat edging their biggest opponent Reims by 2 points 70-68 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Aulnoye made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American Shanavia Dowdell (188-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Stepha MBaye (182-95) chipped in 20 points. Four Aulnoye players scored in double figures. Aulnoye's coach Mickael Petipa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Artavia Ford (190, college: PVAMU) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Margaux Okou-Zouzouo (184-91, agency: Two Points) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Aulnoye maintains first place with 11-2 record. Reims at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Toulouse. Aulnoye are looking forward to face La Tronche (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Reims will play against Chartres (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
