Regular Season Round 20: L'Hospitalet - Albacete 94-89

Very expected game when 9th ranked Albacete (8-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked L'Hospitalet (11-9) 94-89 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. L'Hospitalet made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game, while Albacete only scored seven points from the stripe. Albacete was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Grant Lozoya (190-95, college: Pittsburg St., agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Joan Creus (185-92) who added 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. Power forward Samuel Rodriguez (202-97) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian forward Ryan Ejim (201-93, college: Carleton) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. L'Hospitalet maintains fifth position in Silver with 11-9 record. Loser Albacete keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. L'Hospitalet will face La Roda (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Albacete will play against Pardinyes-L. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
