Undefeated leader Arka Gdynia delivered the fifteenth consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they beat 9th ranked Widzew (4-12) 84-72 in Lodz. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Widzew. Slovakian guard Barbora Balintova (178-94) fired 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. German power forward Sonja Greinacher (190-92, college: Gonzaga, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Taylor Emery (178-97, college: Virginia Tech) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and American-American Samoan guard Jazmine Davis (170-93, college: Washington) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Arka Gdynia and four Widzew players scored in double figures. Arka Gdynia (15-0) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 15 victories in a row. Widzew at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Arka Gdynia are looking forward to face AZS UMCS (#4) in Lublin in the next round. Widzew will play on the road against the league's second-placed Artego Bydg. (#2) in Bydgoszcz and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
