Regular Season Round 18: Zamora - Chantada 55-85

Very expected game when 14th ranked Zamora (2-13) was rolled over at home by second ranked Chantada (12-3) 85-55 on Saturday. Chantada made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Chantada outrebounded Zamora 34-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Cristian Iglesias (200-94) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Martin Rodriguez (182-96) chipped in 7 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Gambian Alasan Mbowe (203-0) who recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds and center Jaime Queralt-Lortzing (204-0) added 12 points respectively. Four Zamora players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chantada have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A-B with 12-3 record having five points less than leader Alcobendas. Zamora lost third consecutive game.
